Registration on MawaddahMatrimony is very easy:

Simply click on Create Profile, enter your email address, and click on Register

Answer the simple questions about yourself and what you are seeking in a spouse (takes 5 minutes).

Optionally upload a picture if you feel comfortable, and feel free to password-protect them (so NO ONE can see your picture, unless you explicitly give them permission to see them).

Once we receive your completed profile, we do some evaluation of your profile. If everything looks good, we usually approve your profile within 24 hours of profile creation.

From then on, you can login to your profile, and begin your search for a compatible spouse.

MawaddahMatrimony was started to help Muslims around the world to get married. Our main focus is not to make money, but to gain the pleasure of Allah (swt) by serving muslims. However, it is difficult to maintain, improve, and provide excellent service without some monetary contributions. Therefore, we charge a very nominal fee of US $15 per month to members from ‘Western Countries’ only. Members from the rest of the world get FREE Lifetime membership at this time.

For your safety, please make sure you select good complex passwords, that are not too easy to guess. Good passwords are usually at least 8 characters long, with a mixture of uppercase and lowercase letters, and numbers and special characters. Make sure you never give your password to anyone!

After logging into your account, you can perform various types of searches for compatible matches. You can do a simple search, or advanced search, or photo search, and many other customized searches based on criteria that is important to you. Look at the various search options under the Partner Search tab towards the top. On your profile home page, if you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you will also see suggested members that may be compatible matches for you.

You will see Members that I am Looking For – (these are members that match the Partner Preference criteria that you have set in your profile).

You will see Members that are Looking for Me – (these are members whose preference criteria matches you… So essentially they are looking for someone like you).

You will see Matches of Mutual Interest – (these are members that you are looking for, who are also looking for someone like you. Basically the perfect match).

After running the desired search option, you will get a list of results of members that matched your search criteria. You can then review the profile details of each of the members in the result list.

When reviewing profiles, if you come across a member that seems interesting to you, you can then Express Interest in them, or you can directly Send Message to them. That member will be notified that you are interested in them.

You can then wait to receive a response from that member. Once you have heard back from the member, please feel free to exchange more detailed messages with them, and ask detailed questions to assess compatibility with that person. This exchange of messages can take days, weeks, or months depending on you. We highly recommend that you use the website to communicate with other members instead of using your personal email, in order to ensure that the communication is monitored and safe.

Of course, please keep your messages halal, respectful, and appropriate, and please do keep your parent (or Wali) involved in the communication to avoid any haram activity. If at some point during the conversation you conclude that the person is not right for you, politely inform them that you are no longer interested, and feel free to express interest or message another member.

On the other hand, after establishing basic compatibility with a prospect, you should plan to meet that member in person with your family, with some mahram present. (If you dont have a mahrem available, ask to meet at a married friend's house, or in the presence os a respected community member or mosque imam). If things proceed well, and both of you and your families feel positive about things, then you can move onto the discussion of marriage InshaAllah. Of course, please perform Salat-ul-Istikhara throughout the process, to ask Allah (swt) for guidance in this matter.

If anyone ever asks you for money, or if anyone communicates using impolite or vulgar language, please report those members to us immediately!

Especially for sisters, please have a Wali (or some Male Muslim figure) involved in the communication with the other party to avoid any fitnah.

Especially in the beginning (before you or your family have had a chance to personally meet the other person), refrain from giving any sensitive personal information about yourself such as Social Security Numbers, Drivers License, Home address, Date of Birth, Full Legal name, etc.

Regarding pictures: we do highly encourage members to upload pictures, and password-protect them. Only when you feel that a member is a good potential match, then share your picture password with them, so only that member can see your picture (no one else!).

Refrain from sharing your email address and phone number with the other person until you have established at least some basic level of compatibility. And when you do share email/phone, allow the other party to get in touch with your Wali.

Use your best judgement to assess whether the person is trustable, before you drop your guard. Always be cautious, just in case. Of course, we will do our due diligence to ensure that all members on the website are genuine and trustable to create a safe atmosphere for you.

The information we display on your profile has NO sensitive or personally identifiable information (other than your photo, which is optional, and is also password-protectable). Also, your information on our website is secure and private, so that people cant simply google your name and come across your profile! There is nothing to be concerned about the info displayed in your profile.

Of course, please refrain from listing your phone number, or email address on your profile, because we will reject such a profile. Once again, you may choose to password-protect your photos for additional precaution. This way you control who gets to see your pictures. And feel free to frequently change your photo password if necessary.

Once logged in, in order to logout, simply click the Logout button towards the top-right corner.

Logging in and Logging out every time you visit MawaddahMatrimony.com keeps your account and personal information on the website secure and private from unauthorized persons! This is done to ensure your privacy and confidentiality.

When you initially registered with us, the very first email we sent to you titled (Thank you for registering…) contained your email address and password that you selected. Feel free to look for that email, including your “spam/junk” folder.

If you can’t find that email, no worries. Go to www.MawaddahMatrimony.com - Towards the top-right, click on Forgot Password. In the provided box, type in the Email Address that you used to register your account with us. - Click Submit.

You will then receive an email from us (within a few minutes) with a newly generated password.

Close the window, and open a new window to www.MawaddahMatrimony.com - Use your Email Address (or MM##) and that newly received password from us to then login successfully.

You may change your password to something else by clicking the Change My Password link inside your profile.
